Parking will not be provided. Street and garage parking as well as ride-sharing are recommended.

Coffee will be provided by The Tribune.

Sarah eckhardt

democratic nominee for texas comptroller; state senator

Eckhardt was elected senator for Bastrop and Travis counties in July of 2020 and serves on the Local Government, Nominations, Transportation and Veteran Affairs committees. She previously served two terms as Travis County judge and as Travis County commissioner.

Matthew Watkins

Editor-in-chief, the texas tribune

Watkins began serving as editor in chief of the Tribune in September 2024. He is a Texas native, born in Houston and raised in Austin. He attended public schools and graduated from Texas A&M University. He’s spent nearly two decades in Texas journalism, and previously worked at The Eagle in Bryan-College Station and The Dallas Morning News. Matthew joined the Tribune in 2015 has held various roles, including higher education reporter, breaking news editor and politics editor.
